WITBANK - Police are urgently requesting any information that could help them locate a kidnapped 13-year-old boy, Kathlego Marite, and that could possibly lead to the arrest of his kidnappers.

According to information, the victim was abducted on May 20 at about 15:30 whilst playing with his two friends in Frangipani Street, Tasbetpark, Extension 3 in Witbank. A golden-coloured Toyota Corolla with three occupants apparently pulled up to the children. One of the men in the car, dressed in black trousers and a green jacket, forced the boy into the vehicle after which it drove off. Kathlego’s friends immediately ran to his mother to report what had happened and she, in turn, reported the incident to the police.

A case of kidnapping is currently under investigation and police urge anyone with information, that might assist in the investigation, to urgently contact Capt Africa Nyathi on 071 352 6007 or call the SAPS Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
