Rocking among the daisies brings dynamite to the tees

On November 9, one of the oldest clubs in South Africa, Barberton Golf Club, played host to the second Dynamite & Daisies Golf Day. The event was held by Barberton Mines, in conjunction with Barberton Community Tourism (BCT), to raise funds for the local tourism industry.

Africa InTouch News visited the club to learn more about the event’s humble beginnings. We spoke to Norman Hartman, Head of Local Economic Development at the mine, as well as Astrid Christianson, BCT's Marketing Manager.

Our video footage was not aimed at promoting the winners or their fine golfing skills (of which there was aplenty!).
Apart from creating awareness for Dynamite & Daisies and tourism in the area, our objective was solely to capture the spirit of the day so that next year’s rendition will attract even more enthusiasts.

The event was concluded with an awards ceremony, followed by a scrumptious dinner. The party, however, continued till late to the beats of lively music provided by Jacqueline Brits. Barberton Mines, as well as BCT, wishes to thank everyone for their contributions and attendance.
