Goodyear and Hi-Q Hoedspruit took hands with other local businesses on Saturday when they participated in a fund raiser golf day which was held at the Drakensig Golf Club in Hoedspruit.

This day was held to raise funds on behalf of Liza-Ri Snyman, a student at one of the local schools, Merensky High School. Snyman is part of the top 40 students whom have been given the opportunity to tour Europe in June, but needed funds to make this dream a reality.

Apart from sponsoring a hole, which displayed the Goodyear and Hi-Q brands, Goodyear also sponsored some of the prizes for the winners.

It was a fun day and many a player made a pit-stop at the Goodyear / Hi-Q gazebo for a complimentary shooter.

Owners of Hi-Q Hoedspruit, Jaco van der Merwe and Gavin Cocks, agreed that community involvement is top priority for any local business.
“It was an enjoyable day and we are proud to have been involved in this worthy cause,” said Jaco. They also thanked Goodyear for their ongoing support.
